Norway spruce is an excellent choice and very popular Christmas tree. It's natural pyramidal shape, and dense branching structure creates the perfect Christmas tree. In the landscape, Norway spruce are an effective wind break, hedge or evergreen screen. The shallow root system allows for easy transplanting as they prefer well drained, sandy, acid soils.

Disease and Insects: Red spider spruce gall aphid, budworm and borers.
