Deerfield Tree Farm has expanded its growing operation to Northern Vermont. "Deerfield North" is about 25 acres of mostly Fraser and Balsam Fir trees. Both farms will be working together to supply you, our customers, with the FRESHEST possible pre cut tree, locally grown, maintained and harvested from VT and our choose and cut trees from our retail location in Millis.
The Freshest Pre Cut tree simply means a cut date that is as close to Thanksgiving as possible. Deerfield North allows us to control the cut date. At the same time, being able to grow and maintain the trees during the growing season ensures the highest quality tree, and is what our customers have come to expect over the past 15 years. Over that time, the ability to find fresh pre cut trees has not been an easy task, as many local New England tree farmers are either shutting down, or selling the land to development. While there are less and less local farms growing trees, the demand for these trees will continue to be very high. Deerfield North will be able to meet that demand for years to come.
